Leigh Ann:
Nicole, Here is a poem. I didn’t
write it, but it reminds me of you.
“Goodbye”
Wipe
your tears
And dry
your eyes
Life
seems so unfair
I hate
saying good-bye
You’ll
develop a life without me
Which
will help pass the time
But no matter
how busy we are
We’ll
still be on each other’s minds
All the
happy memories
We’ve
shared together
They are
unforgettable
And will
stay with me forever
I can’t
believe you will be gone
All I’ll
hear is your voice on the phone
But
hopefully that will be enough
For me
not to feel alone
A new
life
Along
with new people awaits you
New
experiences
And new
friends, too
So wipe
your tears
And dry
your eyes
Then,
maybe it won’t be so hard
To say
good-bye
Love ya
always, Leigh Ann W/B
*TEAR* I forgot how much moving to Georgia
sucked until I started reading these old letters. Sure, after an awkward adjustment period and
minor identity crisis I ended up making some pretty awesome friends in Hotlanta, but
there is nothing more damaging than having to leave the place you grew up in and
called home nearly all your life. If I
have any say in it, I will NEVER relocate my children. Unless it’s somewhere totally kick-ass or
there’s a crap-ton of money involved, in which case screw my kids! They’ll get over it eventually.
